hi! i’m igihozo (they/them)

i’m a voice care practitioner, vocal coach and artist dedicated to the care of voices and the bodies and souls that they are carried by.

my practice brings awareness to the mechanisms of singing, with gentle attention to the stories and emotions our voices hold.

i work with and study : Complete Vocal Technique (teacher in training), mindfulness, voice care and intuitive knowledge ; inspired by land, ancestors, herbs, flowers, water, spirits, animals and other beings.

my body tells stories of those that came before me

those my arms won’t hold and my eyes are not able to see

we converse through the flesh of my hips

through my long neck and big forehead

like clues they left behind for me to find

to remember their traditions and symbols of beauty
